PRLog (Press Release)– Apr 28, 2011– There were packed houses and standing ovations at all ten performances of the amazi corsa ngly successful World Premiere run of 'CHURCHILL - The Musical' which was held at the Lagoa T cadillac heatre on the Algarve in southern Portugal between the 1st and the 8th of October 2010.
'About fifty percent of the tickets were sold before they were even printed, and we hope this pattern will repeat itself when we open in the UK'. says Trevor Holman who wrote the music for the show. 'People are already emailing and calling us asking when the UK premiere will take place, and BBC radio have now started to play music from the show'. Over the past months the show has had an extensive rewrite including two brand new dance numbers, which feedback told us is what the audience wanted more of, and the show is now seeking a producer in the UK.
The musical is a tribute to a larger than life character whose wit, wisdom and unswerving faith in ultimate victory inspired people all over the world. The lyricist, Derek Charles Ash, who co-wrote the stage play with Trevor says 'The press said that 'CHURCHILL - The Musical' man car news ages to combine history, nostalgia, patriotism and humour, which is ex ferrari actly what we set out to do, and it certainly entertained audiences aged from nine to ninety'.
With more and more schools dropping history in their curriculum, it could ultimately be left to the stage to bring well researched history alive. Let's not forget the words of Churchill himself who said 'A country that forgets its history has no future'. All information at www.churchillthemusical.com
